“The dynamic interplay between technological progress and the human condition presents a profound philosophical challenge. We constantly grapple with how our tools transform our lives and beliefs, and how our inherent values, in turn, drive the evolution of those tools. This reciprocal influence is particularly evident in this era of accelerating innovation, requiring constant reflection and re-evaluation of our shared future. This film asks us to do just that.”

Writer/director Andy Watts started in the film industry as a lighting technician, where he worked on everything from micro-budget music videos to Steven Spielberg blockbusters (War of the Worlds, 2005). While earning his MFA in screenwriting at Columbia University, Andy received grants from New Line Cinema and the Alfred P. Sloan Foundation.  Andy has written and directed numerous short films that have screened in festivals within the U.S. and internationally, and aired on HBO, Cinemax, HBO Latino, and Japanese television.  He co-wrote the feature film Crooked & Narrow (2016) with director Neal Dhand (Dark My Light, 2025).  While in the final stages of finishing another short, 21st, Andy is currently adapting two older projects into a TV series and a feature film, respectively.  He resides in Ithaca, NY, where he teaches film production at Ithaca College.
